Priced by the size of what gets cleared. Every plan includes unlimited clearing visits, the city sidewalk, the front walk and the front steps. Full season covers November 1 to March 31 and is 10% less than paying monthly.

What changes the price of snow removal

Two Saskatoon quotes can look $100 apart and cover very different service. Before comparing prices, line up these five things.

  • Driveway size. Single, double and extended driveways are priced differently. No driveway costs least.
  • Unlimited or capped visits. Some plans cap you at 5 to 7 visits a month and charge for extras. A big December can blow past a cap.
  • How much snow before they come. Crews start anywhere from about 1 cm to 5 cm. Ours is 2 cm.
  • How fast. 24 hours after the snow stops is good. Some plans take 48.
  • Extras. Corner lots, rear parking pads, back entrances and ice melt are usually extra. Get them priced before the first storm.

Monthly or full season?

Full season is cheaper: November 1 to March 31 at 10% less than paying month by month, with your spot on the route locked in. Monthly suits you if you want to start later or keep the option to stop with a month's notice. Both get the same clearing.

Are visits unlimited, or is there a monthly cap?

Some Saskatoon plans cap you at 5 to 7 visits a month and charge for extra visits. Every Green Wolf plan has unlimited clearing visits for one flat monthly price.

How much snow before the crew comes out?

It varies by company, from about 1 cm to 5 cm. Green Wolf comes out once 2 cm has fallen.

How long after the snow stops until I'm cleared?

Within 24 hours is good; some plans take 48. Green Wolf clears within 24 hours of the snow stopping, and at least every 48 hours during continuous snowfall.

Is the city sidewalk included?

The City of Saskatoon requires residents to clear the sidewalk in front of their property within 48 hours of a snowfall, so make sure it is in the plan. Every Green Wolf plan includes the city sidewalk, front walk and front steps.

What costs extra?

With Green Wolf, ice melt, back or side entrances, corner lots with extra city sidewalk, extended driveways and rear parking pads are priced up front in your written quote, not added later.
